Fyki, and the wreck of the Sarah

Fyki sits in the north, away from the settlements. You reach it on a small path rather than a road, which is most of why it stays quiet. The beach is stone rather than sand, and the water is clear and deep close in.

The pier is the interesting part above water. It was built for the days when the northerly wind made the harbour at Ammos unapproachable and boats needed somewhere else to land. It is still standing.

On the seabed nearby lies the wreck of the ship Sarah. Divers go down to it. It is not an organised site — there is no dive centre on Othoni and no supervision, so anyone diving here brings their own equipment, their own buddy and their own judgement.
